Senior Cost Analyst Full Time

Our client, a medium sized consulting company with offices across the UK and Ireland, is looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to join their growing team in London!

What you will need:
• Degree qualified
• Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical), Science, Mathematics Project/Business Management/ Accounts/Risk Management background
• Understanding of the Data Centre Industry
• Membership of relevant professional body or working towards
• Project Management qualification (e.g. APMP)
• Prior use of Project Controls Software Systems
• Extensive knowledge of Excel.
• Experience of implementing best practice cost engineering processes and tools including;
o Budget production and maintenance
o Cost Forecasting
o Change Control
o Variance Analysis
o Cost and Performance Reporting

Your responsibilities will include:
• Support Project Commercial Managers & PDs in developing project cost plans.
• Report project costs planned v actual and forecasts, and identify and explain variances in a timely and accurate basis.
• Develop work cash flows and manage invoicing relationships, including understanding impact on project level cashflow
• Communicate with both the project team and the management team to resolve cost issues.
• Aggregate cost plan from project level into a group level view, providing overall ownership of changes in cost plan and communicating rationale and project impact
• Report on Earned Value metrics and provide detailed analysis
• Ownership of cost data input to monthly project reports, closely collaborating with Investment and Finance team to manage business case
