Principal Engineering Geologist Full Time

Our client, a medium company with offices across the UK are looking for a Principal Engineering Geologist for their Devon Office.

What you will need:
• Chartered Geologist/Engineer with a track record of delivering technical excellence.
• Proven Project Manager skilled in risk, resource, and change management.
• Strong client relationship builder with business development experience.
• Confident communicator, able to lead and inspire teams and clients.
• Experience in mentoring and line management, including appraisals and pastoral care.
• Passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Full UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of projects (typically ≤£100k), delivering on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Author and review accurate, technically robust reports, designs, and risk assessments.
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings, offering expert advice and solutions.
• Scope, price, and win projects by crafting compelling bids and proposals.
• Line manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring excellent performance.
• Drive business development by expanding client accounts and identifying new opportunities.
• Promote health, safety, and quality across all aspects of work.
• Represent CGL externally through publications, CPD events, and on social media.
