Design Manager (Rail) Full Time

Our client, a large consulting company with offices across Ireland are looking for a Design Manager to join their growing Rail team in their Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Galway office.

What you will need:
• Level 8/9 Engineering Degree
• Relevant post graduate work experience mainly within consultancy
• Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution
• Ability to deliver projects to BIM Level 2 equivalent
• Understand emerging technologies and industry best practice
• Full driving license required

What you will do:
• Oversee engineering and technical aspects of rail engineering projects
• Fulfil the role of Design or Engineering Manager on projects
• Oversee the multidisciplinary process of design
• Ensure design is defined and delivered according to specific guidelines, standards and client requirements
• Act as the point of contact for all technical tasks for rail
• Provide line management for engineering teams and discipline leads
• Prepare technical/quality proposals for new commissions
• Establish a strong and effective quality management system
