Commercial Manager Full Time

Our client, a medium sized consulting company with offices across the UK and Ireland, is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their growing team in London!

What you will need:
• Previous experience in data centre construction and/or hi-tech projects desirable.
• Degree qualified in one of the following fields: cost management or quantity surveying
• MRICS desirable.
• 8+ years in Quantity Surveying role with a mixture of contractor and cost consultancy experience (desirable).
• Exposure and experience with both MEP and CSA cost management (desirable).
• Experience running and providing cost management services in the full life cycle of projects.
• Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation, and post-contract services.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager in managing all aspects of delivering projects in the UK
• Working with the external QS consultants
• Maintaining & developing relationships with external QS consultants
• Review of initial budget estimates (from end of WS2) & Business Case (Professional fees, Construction, Internal costs, Mobilisation costs) – for presentation to Line Manager highlighting concerns and areas for attention
• Reviewing and advising on the adequacy of design information produced for a tender.
• Reconciling project cost plans/Business Case on award of contracts (GC, Consultants, LLE).
• Development of cashflow documentation for project spend.
